Do you know what to do if trapped in an active shooter situation?
This course provides civilians with the knowledge and skills to recognize and properly respond to being in an active shooter incident and increase their chances of survival. Topics covered included:
History of active shooter events
Behaviors and profile of active shooters
The human body’s response to stress in a life-threatening situation
The human decision-making process and how stress effects it
Law enforcements’ response to active shooter incidents

HOSTING REQUIREMENT
The hosting facility will need to provide a projector system or smart tv, etc. for power point presentations. The lecture area should also have tables/desks with seating for students, but auditorium style seating without tables is acceptable. If the lecture area is large a PA or some type of audio system will also be needed. 1-2 additional rooms will be needed for scenarios.
